Born to two healthcare providers in a small rural town, Dr. Sanders grew up with a profound sense of compassion and dedication to others’ well-being. He carried this passion into his academic pursuits, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Norbert O. Schedler Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas. During his medical doctorate education at the University of Texas Medical Branch, he excelled academically, graduating as Valedictorian and achieving the top percentile scores among all U.S. medical examinees, earning early induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. His commitment to global health led him to participate in international infectious disease research in the Peruvian Andes.

Dr. Sanders honed his skills during his residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, one of the nation’s best ranked orthopedic departments. There, he trained under surgeons caring for the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks, learning innovative orthopedic techniques and performing research presented on both national and international stages. He further specialized by completing the nation’s most esteemed shoulder and elbow fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, mastering the forefront of evidence-based techniques available today.
